Thank you to all our speakers for their participation in Learning Places Scotland.  Be sure to take advantage of the speaker resources below to promote your session and maximize your success at Learning Places Scotland 2024.

SPEAKER IMPORTANT INFORMATION & DEADLINES

Headshot and Bio

  • Submit as soon as possible. Please submit your headshot and bio for the website. We update the Learning Places Scotland website with all speaker biographies and headshots. If you havent already, please send a short bio (approximately 100 words) and a headshot (high-res jpeg or png) as soon as possible. You can view speaker profiles here.

Session/Presentation Review

Session Briefing Calls

  • Session Chairs will organise a briefing call with all speakers at least 2-3 weeks before the event to discuss and finalise the content and format.

PowerPoint Requirements and Deadline: 

  • PowerPoint presentations are due to Kathleen by Monday 11 November 2024. All conference session content must be non-commercial and educational in nature, and the promotion of a specific person or company and/or its products or services is NOT permitted.

    If using PPT Slides:

  • Aspect Ratio:16x9
  • Use a large font with less text
  • If you have video or audio files embedded in your presentation, please send them to Kathleen separately.
  • Slides must NOT contain custom fonts
  • If you are showing video clips as part of your presentation, please embed them into your slides rather than relying on venue Wi-Fi. Please use a file sharing system if your file is very large, and please remember to bring a back up copy.
  • Please note that unless informed otherwise, all presentations will be shared with attendees post-event as a non-editable pdf and sessions may be recorded and shared. 

AV Equipment
Any special requests must be submitted via email by Monday 11 November 2024. Each stage will be equipped with the following audio/visual equipment:

  • High-resolution LCD projector and screen
  • Lectern with microphone
  • Laptop/comfort monitor to show slides in presenter view
  • Clicker to advance slides
  • Headsets (with the exception of the Main Stage)

SPEAKER REGISTRATION & BENEFITS

  • As a chair or speaker, you receive a complimentary ticket to attend both days of the event.
  • You receive full access to all of the conference sessions, the exhibition, EdTech sessions and Networking opportunities.
  • You also receive complimentary tea and coffee in the Speakers Lounge, and lunch on the day you are speaking. Upon arrival, you can collect your badge at the Registration Desk.

Speakers are encouraged to promote their sessions through personal invitations, social media outlets, blogs, and digital newsletters. Please tag us in your posts with #LearningPlacesScotland2024 and we will retweet/reshare. If you’re not already following us, please do so on the accounts below:
