We very much enjoyed having Edward Reid as the host of the Learning Places Scotland Awards 2024!

Edward Reid is a teacher, a singer, an entertainer, a speaker and he’s also one of Scotland’s most popular hosts for corporate awards and events.

Having worked as an all-round entertainer for ten years, all over Scotland, Edward burst onto our TV screens in 2011. Here he appeared as a singer on series 5 of Britain’s Got Talent. Edward reached the semi-finals, making him a superstar in his native Scotland.

Soon after, he toured Scotland with his one man show. He won a Best Fringe award from Edinburgh radio station Radio Forth. This was when he brought his ‘Living the Dream One Song at a Time’ show to the Fringe.  Other awards followed and with Edward’s continued work with charities and people living with learning difficulties, he received a Bighearted Scotland Entertainer of the Year award.

Edward himself had suffered for years with stress and anxiety and in 2018 started to learn Mindfulness. This was to help improve his mental health and well-being.  He was regularly practising it when he decided to help and teach others in the art of meditation.

Meditation changed his life and he now holds regular workshops, teaching meditation and helping others.

Edward’s charitable work continues but the word was now out about how good he was at hosting events.  The corporate requests were now pouring in and Edward was now being asked to host awards and other events on a regular basis.  His energy and enthusiasm captivates his audience and he is always expected to sing at least one song at these events.
