Scott Brown
Scott Brown is currently a Project Director for Hub South East, and previously worked for the investment arm of a FTSE 250 construction company, investing in, amongst others, DBFM projects in the Hub South East and Hub South West territories.
With approximately twenty years’ experience in the infrastructure sector, Scott has seen it through a variety of different lenses. As a Chartered Accountant, initially this was through the provision of financial advice to both public and private sectors in procuring major infrastructure projects. He was then involved in the management of operational projects from both an investor and senior funder role and in his most recent post, he is responsible for the development and delivery of infrastructure projects, predominantly focussed on learning estate across the South East territory.
As a Project Director for Hub South East, Scott is managing and has managed the successful delivery of learning facilities for clients worth more than £270m over the last five years, including the award winning Jedburgh Grammar Campus in the Borders, Castlebrae Community Campus in Edinburgh, Calderwood Primary in West Lothian and the Winchburgh Schools project including two high schools, one primary and a sports and wellbeing Hub located on one site. Scott is currently ensuring Scotland’s first LEIP project to start on site, Wallyford Secondary Learning Campus in East Lothian, is on track to handover in summer 2023. He is also developing two exciting new learning campuses in Galashiels and Peebles for Scottish Borders Council and leading a Collaboration Forum across both projects to ensure maximum value is gained in areas including quality, design, commercial, LEIP, social value and communications.
