Ruaridh Nicol
Ruaridh is an associate at Holmes Miller’s Glasgow studio. As an architect, he specialises in designing education projects, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in delivering Early Years, ASN, Primary and Secondary schools.
By forming excellent relationships with clients and collaborating with diverse stakeholders, Ruaridh establishes a detailed understanding of users needs. He crafts innovative and bespoke solutions that challenge the perceived norm and give users the opportunity to create their own learning environment each day, developing creative ways of using space and collaborating between age groups.
An expert in BIM, 3D visualisation and real time rendering, he is at the forefront of digital construction in architecture, providing continuity through design, coordination and project delivery. Ruaridh aims to create a better experience for clients – putting them at the heart of the design process and taking them on a journey of discovery during the consultation and design development stages of every project.
As a certified Passive House designer, Ruaridh is passionate about sustainable design and understands the important role we play in shaping the built environment. Working closely with clients, design team members and consultants he aims to deliver high quality, fabric first designs that provide both efficient and dynamic environments for its users.
