Eleanor Magennis is the Director of Estates and Infrastructure at The Glasgow School of Art overseeing the faithful reinstatement of the Mackintosh building, implementing new Estates and Digital Strategies. 

Eleanor is a Chartered Architect. After 10 years as a Project Architect at Glasgow City Council, she has spent the last 25 years in Higher Education (at the University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow and since September 2020 The Glasgow School of Art) leading on strategic planning of the estate, effective space management, innovative learning / academic space design, post occupancy evaluations and championing inclusive design. 

Eleanor is also a Trustee of the University Design Forum, currently Chair of the Scottish Association of Directors of Estates and has been involved in a number of sector wide projects.
