Former secondary school teacher for 15 years in various posts of responsibility in different authorities – former School Inspector HMIe for 14 years latterly as a District Inspector for the Ayrshires – Last 5+ years as Head of Service in Glasgow City Council with responsibility for all schools in the South and half of those in the North West of the city.
