Ainsley is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in STEM and digital education, dedicated to leveraging STEM education as a catalyst for social mobility and innovation. As the Head of the Innovation Centre at Hearts FC, he focuses on establishing and connecting young people to meaningful pathways into the tech industry through engaging STEM and digital skills programs.
Notably, Ainsley played a significant role in introducing the FIRST® Tech Challenge to Scotland, positioning the Innovation Centre as a pioneering Champion Organisation, providing opportunities to further introduce robotics education to secondary schools and enabling young people to engage beyond the limits of the school curriculum. His commitment to social impact is evident in the Innovation Centre’s initiatives, which aim to provide accessible STEM and digital opportunities for underrepresented groups, including ethnic minorities, girls, non-binary individuals, and those with additional support needs
